Ahhh, feels so good to be back! It feel even better to have a college friend on the blog scene and blowing up after only a couple weeks of creating her blog thebananachronicles.com. I’ve known my friend Terri since our college days at CSUN (Cal State Northridge) and probably within the last couple of months, I’ve know she had been contemplating on launching a blog and I couldn’t be more excited that she has. Her lifestyle/food blog is based around her vegan, active, and healthy lifestyle where she shares her juice/smoothie recipes along with some of her favorite food restaurants in the LA area. I’ve tried making some of her recipes and even for someone that doesn’t know the difference between a cup and an ounce, I was able to create something that was edible! Gooooo Christian! No, but really.. she has some very easy and fun recipes that are delicious and I encourage you to check out her site now… like… right now.
She had also asked me to think of a recipe for a smoothie and she would make a healthy version of it, so of course I asked her to make a Chocolate Mint Smoothie and she came up with the beautiful little creation. 
Chocolate Mint Smoothie
Yields about 32oz. and serves 2
2 frozen bananas
2 pitted medjool dates
1 tbsp carob powder
Handful of almonds
2-3 mint sprigs
2 cups water
The creation of this smoothie also leads up to my first social media contest, which I am really excited about! Basically we want you to show us your best vibe with me banana style photo. Be as creative as you want; it can be a recipe, a photo shoot, whatever! Your imagination is your limit!
